Roll & Up (Under Development)
A downloadable game for Windows
Roll & Up (Codename) is a physics-driven rolling-ball platformer. You're a marble (Or something else), gravity is your only friend, and momentum is everything. Guide the sphere across chains of floating islands, through wind tunnels and vortexes that throw you off course, past spinning, swinging, and floating obstacles and try not to fall.
This page is the home for the game while it's in active development. For now, this is where I'll post builds, devlogs, and talk directly with anyone curious about the project. This is an experimental genre, but if you want to watch (or help shape) a game like that get built, this is the place.
What's in this build:
- Physics-based, momentum and inertia actually matter
- Checkpoint system
- Environmental hazards
- Obstacles: rotating, floating, and swinging pendulum hazards to time your runs around
- A camera that follows your roll through the world
What's coming:
- More levels and island chains
- Refined hazards and obstacle variety
- Visual polish and additional checkpoint/world effects
Why play this build now? It's early. Expect rough edges. But this is the best way to see the game evolve from the ground up, leave feedback that actually shapes design decisions, and be part of the community before it's a "finished" thing on a storefront.
PLEASE DOWNLOAD IT AND DROP ALL YOUR COMMENTS, FIRST IMPRESSIONS, ANYTHING.
I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE EARLY FEEDBACK. :)
